Obituary Fred A. Walsh was born in Beaufort in 1947. He graduated from Beaufort High School in 1965, from The Citadel in 1969, and served in the USCGR from 1971 – 1977. Fred later received two Master’s degrees, taught school in Beaufort, and worked in the family business.
