Beaufort’s Colonial Dames XVII Century Meet

The May meeting of the Dr. Henry Woodward Chapter, Colonial Dames XVII Century, was held at the home of Priscilla Dukes. Jeanne Aimar and Laura Beall assisted Mrs. Dukes as co-hostesses. The meeting’s guest speaker was Dr. Travis Folk of Folk Land Management, Green Pond, SC.  Mr. Folk’s presentation was on “The History and Ecology of South Carolina Rice Fields.” The chapter welcomed back former member Carroll Sommerville Eve who has recently moved back to Beaufort.
