Nathan Dardes, 13, a student at St. Peter’s Catholic School on Lady’s Island, competed in a 3×3 Rubik’s Cube Competition in downtown Los Angeles, Ca., in August, the weekend before school started. He missed going to the second round by only 3 seconds. The world’s national Rubik’s Cube Competition was held in Las Vegas last year and many who competed there were also in L.A.Nicholas and Nathan Dardes with mom Elizabeth in Los Angeles, Ca.
