The U Pick Daffodil Farm in Okatie has been owned by Chuck and Diane Merrick for about 25 years. Daffodils were planted in 1950 on what was originally a dairy farm, according to Merrick. Merrick said the land had gone fallow, so he and his wife bought it and have been growing about 40 acres of the seasonal yellow flowers ever since.
